Roundstone has emerged as a reputable center of culture and art because of the luminous landscape has inspired many singers, movie makers, artists and writers. The song “Every little thing she does is magic” was written by the acclaimed singer Sting in Roundstone. If you are a movie buff, Roundstone has been a location for a number of movies such as “Into the West”, “Hear My Song”, “The Macintosh Man”, parts of “The Quiet Man”, “The Matchmaker” and more recently “Marley&Me”.
If you just want to browse the shops and pick up a bargain, Roundstone has a lot to offer with local arts and crafts, vintage, music and pottery shops within walking distance of the hotel.
The main green across from the hotel hosts a craft and local produce market each Sunday during the summer months, where passer’s by can pick up locally made jewelery, knitted garments or organic products. There is also a childrens playground in this area.
Roundstone also plays host to numerous festivals and traditional music nights which take place in the community hall over the summer months.
